  以下为音频内容概要:

Ni hao and welcome to the first report for the 2008 Tennis Masters Cup. Thank you for joining us, this is Craig Gaberiel and I am in London where the players are getting ready for Wimbledon and what should be a thrilling championship at the all England lawn Tennis Club.

I have been down to the club which is only a short walk from where i am staying and it all looks beautiful. The grass courts are in perfect condition and we must now hope that the weather stays fine and nothing like the horrible conditions we had last year when the only colour around the courts was the umbrellas being opened.

So who is going to win? Well i wish i could tell. Roger Federer who has won it the last five years and who is also the defending Tennis Masters Cup champion is still the favourite, the players all agree to that but this year it is a little bit more open.

This is what Rafael Nadal had to say when he was asked if he could Winwimbledon.

  Nadal Interview

Novak Djokovic meanwhile says he comes into the Wimbledon with a different feeling and a different mind set. After all he has one of the majors against his name and that’s a huge change.

By winning the Australian open he jumped to the lead in the race for shanghai and kept just ahead by winning at Indian wells. But then nadal got the jump on him when he won the masters series in Monte Carlo and Hamburg and then won the French open. Going into Wimbledon he leads the serb by 113 points.

  Djokovic Interview

Federer is not that far behind, he’s just 97 points away from Djokovic in third place and he’s probably quite happy that some of the attention has been taken away from him.

Lets not forget that Nikolay Davydenko is high in the race to get to the tennis masters cup, last years finalist David Ferrer is also well placed, David Nalbandian, who won the title a couple of years ago at Qi Zhong stadium is knocking on the door, and so are the flashy Frenchmen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils.

This other guy is also pushing hard to get to shanghai but Wimbledon is where his mind is just now.

  Andy Roddick Interview

So there you have it a brilliant line up of stars and this second half of the season is going to be an absolute thriller as the players chase the points in an effort to try and be in Shanghai for the rich and prestigious tennis masters cup.

And remember 5rmb from every ticket sold will go to the earthquake appeal. Check out the website for ticket sales.

Till next time this is Craig Gabriel for the Tennis Masters Cup.
